Bend softball delivered their most complete performance of the season Monday, shutting out Summit 15-0 in a dominant Intermountain Conference (5A) display at home in Bend, Oregon. The Lava Bears left no doubt from the opening inning, combining explosive offense with lockdown pitching to hand Summit one of their most lopsided defeats of the spring. The 15-run outburst marked Bend's highest-scoring game of 2026, as hitters found their rhythm against Summit's pitching staff. Meanwhile, Bend's pitcher controlled the strike zone throughout, never allowing Summit to establish any offensive momentum. The shutout victory was a welcome sight for a Bend program that has battled through adversity this spring. With the convincing win, Bend improves to 8-14 overall and 8-9 in Intermountain Conference play. The timing couldn't be better, as the Lava Bears look to build momentum heading into the final stretch of league competition. Bend will aim to carry this offensive explosion and defensive precision into their next conference matchup as they continue pushing for a strong finish to the season.
