Mountain View Cougars Boys Soccer 0-8 Summit

Summit handed Mountain View a decisive 8-0 defeat in Intermountain Conference (5A) boys soccer on Tuesday, with the road game played at Summit's home venue. Mountain View, based in Bend, Oregon, had no answers on the scoreboard as Summit controlled the match from start to finish in the lopsided league contest. The shutout loss drops Mountain View to 1-7-1 overall and 1-4 in conference play, a difficult stretch of results for a team that has struggled to find consistency this fall season. Without a detailed box score available, the final margin tells the clearest story. Summit's attack proved relentless, and Mountain View's defense was unable to contain the pressure through the full 80 minutes. With the regular season winding down, Mountain View will look to regroup and finish the year on a stronger note. Their next opportunity to turn things around comes later this week, giving the squad little time to dwell on Tuesday's result.
