Redmond Panthers Baseball 7-8 Crook County

A late rally came up just short as Redmond baseball dropped an 8-7 decision to Crook County on Tuesday night in Prineville. The Panthers, representing Redmond, Oregon in the Intermountain Conference (5A), showed fight in the closing innings but couldn't quite complete the comeback against their regional rivals.
The one-run loss highlighted both the competitiveness and heartbreak that have defined much of Redmond's challenging season. Despite the offensive production that generated seven runs, the Panthers couldn't find the crucial defensive stops needed to secure victory on the road.
With the defeat, Redmond moves to 4-19 overall and 1-16 in conference play as the spring season winds toward its conclusion. The close margin of defeat demonstrates the team's continued development and ability to compete, even in difficult circumstances.
The Panthers will look to regroup and finish the season on a positive note as they prepare for their remaining games. Coach and players alike can take encouragement from the offensive output in what proved to be an entertaining baseball game between Central Oregon schools.
