La Pine Hawks Softball 13-18 Oakridge

Runs came in bunches Thursday night as La Pine softball couldn't quite keep pace with Oakridge in an 18-13 non-league slugfest on the road. The Hawks showed offensive firepower throughout the contest, plating 13 runs against the Warriors, but ultimately fell short in the back-and-forth affair.
Both teams swung hot bats under the lights, combining for 31 runs in what turned into a pitcher's nightmare and a hitter's dream. La Pine's ability to generate offense was encouraging, as the Hawks demonstrated they can compete with anyone when the bats are working.
The loss drops La Pine to 1-2 on the young spring season, but there were plenty of positives to take from the offensive explosion. In a game where defense and pitching took a backseat to hitting, the Hawks proved they won't go down without a fight.
La Pine will look to build on the offensive momentum while tightening up on the mound as they continue navigating the early portion of their 2026 campaign.
