La Pine Hawks Softball 7-18 Lost River

Lost River's offense proved too much for La Pine to handle Tuesday night, as the Hawks fell 18-7 in a high-scoring non-league softball contest. The La Pine squad from La Pine, Oregon, which competes in the Mountain Valley Conference (3A), couldn't find an answer for the host team's potent attack despite putting up seven runs of their own.
The Hawks showed they could generate offense throughout the game, but Lost River's explosive innings created too large a deficit to overcome. La Pine managed to keep pace early but ultimately couldn't match their opponent's sustained scoring.
The loss drops La Pine to 6-20 overall this season, with a 5-10 mark in Mountain Valley Conference play. While the score was lopsided, the Hawks demonstrated their ability to produce runs against quality competition.
La Pine will look to bounce back and finish the spring season on a positive note as they prepare for their remaining games. The Hawks have shown flashes of offensive potential that they'll aim to build upon moving forward.
