The Crook County Cowboys softball team delivered their most dominant offensive performance of the season Wednesday, overwhelming Summit 20-5 at home in league action. The Cowboys broke out of their recent struggles with an explosive batting display that saw runs come in bunches throughout the contest.

After entering the game with a challenging 5-10 record, Crook County's offense finally found its rhythm against Summit pitching. The 15-run margin of victory represents the team's most lopsided win of the 2026 spring season, providing a much-needed confidence boost for a squad that has battled adversity all year.

The victory improves the Cowboys to 6-10 overall and 2-7 in conference play, keeping their postseason hopes alive with games remaining on the schedule. While the team still faces an uphill climb in league standings, Wednesday's offensive explosion demonstrates the potential that has been building throughout the season.

Crook County will look to build on this momentum as they continue league play, hoping this breakout performance signals a strong finish to the regular season.
