Bend Senior Lava Bears Girls Soccer 0-1 Summit

Summit handed Bend Senior a 1-0 defeat in a 5A-4 Intermountain Conference girls soccer match Friday evening, handing the Lava Bears just their second loss of the fall. Bend, Oregon's Lava Bears entered the road contest at Summit with one of the stronger records in the conference, and the tight scoreline showed how competitive this rivalry remains. A single goal was all Summit needed to claim the win, keeping the Lava Bears off the board in what was a hard-fought league battle. With the loss, Bend Senior drops to 9-2-1 overall and 6-2 in conference play, still well within reach of a strong postseason position as the regular season winds toward its close. The Lava Bears have shown they can compete at a high level all fall, and one road setback does not change that picture. Bend Senior will look to bounce back quickly and protect its standing in the Intermountain Conference with playoff seeding on the line in the coming weeks.
