La Pine Hawks Boys Soccer 3-8 Sweet Home

Sweet Home handed La Pine a tough 8-3 defeat in Mountain Valley Conference (3A) boys soccer Thursday evening in La Pine, Oregon, dropping the Hawks to 0-11 overall and 0-5 in league play. The Huskies came into town with plenty of firepower and made it clear from early on, building a lead that La Pine could not overcome despite finding the net three times on home turf. Credit the Hawks for continuing to compete and putting goals on the board, a sign that some pieces are coming together even in a difficult stretch of the season. Sweet Home's attack proved too much to contain on this night, with the visitors converting at a high rate and limiting La Pine's ability to generate consistent pressure in return. The Hawks will look to carry those three goals into their next opportunity and build on any momentum they can find. La Pine's next chance to pick up a result comes next week as the schedule continues in Mountain Valley Conference play.
