The Ravens' impressive softball season hit a major speed bump Tuesday night as Ridgeview fell to Caldera 17-2 in a lopsided league contest on the road. The loss marked just the fifth defeat of the campaign for a Ridgeview squad that entered the game riding high with an 18-4 record.

Caldera's explosive offense proved too much to handle as the Ravens struggled to contain their hosts throughout the evening. Despite entering as one of the top teams in the conference, Ridgeview found themselves overwhelmed early and unable to mount a sustained comeback.

The defeat drops the Ravens to 18-5 overall while maintaining a strong 13-2 conference mark that keeps them well-positioned for postseason play. While Tuesday's result stings, it serves as a reminder that any team can have an off night during the grueling spring schedule.

Ridgeview will look to bounce back quickly and return to their winning ways as the regular season winds down and playoff positioning becomes increasingly important.
