La Pine Hawks Football 16-56 St. Mary's, Medford

St. Mary's of Medford handed La Pine a 56-16 defeat Friday night in a 4A league football matchup, sending the Hawks home from Medford with a tough loss. La Pine, based in La Pine, Oregon, saw its conference record slip to 2-2 on the season with the setback.

Without a detailed box score available, the lopsided margin tells the story of a difficult night on the road against the Crusaders, who controlled the game from what appeared to be an early stage. The 40-point differential suggests St. Mary's was able to move the ball consistently while keeping La Pine's offense from finding a rhythm in Medford.

The loss drops the Hawks to 5-3 overall, still a winning record heading into the final stretch of the regular season. With conference play tightening up, La Pine will need a strong response next week to protect its playoff positioning. The Hawks return home looking to regroup and close the season on a high note.
