Bend Senior Lava Bears Girls Volleyball 3-1 La Salle Prep

Bend Senior's girls volleyball team moved to 3-0 on the season Friday night, defeating La Salle Prep 3-1 in a non-league home match at Bend, Oregon. The Lava Bears, members of the 5A-4 Intermountain Conference, dropped the first set before rallying to take three consecutive sets and secure a hard-fought victory over the visiting Falcons. It was a telling response from a young season that is still finding its identity, and dropping that opening set only seemed to sharpen Bend Senior's focus rather than rattle it. La Salle Prep, a competitive program out of the Portland metro area, provided a quality non-league test, the kind of matchup that can reveal a team's character well before conference play begins to matter most. With three wins and no losses through the early stretch of the fall, the Lava Bears have positioned themselves with real momentum heading deeper into the schedule. Bend Senior's next match will offer another chance to build on a promising start.
