Bend Senior Lava Bears Football 33-23 Redmond

Bend football picked up a much-needed road victory Friday night, topping Redmond 33-23 in a league contest played in Redmond, Oregon. The win snaps a tough stretch for the Lava Bears, who entered the night at 1-5 on the season and sitting near the bottom of the league standings. Bend controlled enough of the game to pull away from the Panthers and secure the final margin, improving to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play with the victory. The 10-point winning margin suggests the Lava Bears found some offensive rhythm against a Redmond defense that had been competitive through its own season. Winning on the road in a league game is never easy, and this result gives Bend something tangible to build on heading into the final weeks of the regular season. With the playoffs approaching and conference positioning still in flux, the Lava Bears will look to carry this momentum into next week and stack another win.
