Redmond Panthers Boys Soccer 1-5 Bend

Bend handed Redmond a tough 5-1 defeat in Intermountain Conference (5A) boys soccer Thursday evening, with the Panthers traveling to face their Central Oregon rivals on the road. The loss drops Redmond, based in Redmond, Oregon, to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in league play as the Panthers continue searching for their footing in conference competition.

Bend controlled much of the match, building a commanding advantage that Redmond could not overcome despite finding the back of the net once to avoid the shutout. The Panthers showed some fight in getting on the scoreboard, but the Lava Bears proved too strong on their home pitch Thursday.
